"Leaving The Past Behind And Reaching To The Future"
Reading: Philippians 3:13 -- “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before…” Are you tired of the devil,
people and even yourself bringing up the past and placing it before your face? Every time we are reminded of our past the
enemy always want us to stay there. But you have to be determined to leave the past behind and move on with God. To fulfill
the will of God for your life, you must put the past behind you. We must forget the things in our past especially things that
hurt us or sin we have committed. The enemy does not want you to move forward into the things of God. Satan would rather you
live your past and be tormented. But God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. We cannot
change the things of the past. We must live in the present by faith in God. Jesus Christ has a great and wonderful destiny
for your life that you must fulfill. But you cannot fulfill your God-given destiny and purpose by living and thinking in the
past. We have not yet arrived but everyday we should be forgetting the things that are in the past and pressing on to those
things that are before us. God wants us to reach that high mark that is in him. Satan will try to distract you from your future
by replaying your past on the movie screen of your mind. Don’t fall for it. Let go and let God do a new thing in your
life today! "When Satan reminds you of your past just remind him of his future!" -- by an unknown author Minister Chris King
"A Life of Thanksgiving" Part One
Reading:1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. When
God woke us up this morning we should have a attitude of gratitude toward him. His mercy and grace is new every morning and
he truly is a faithful God. But some of us may have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed today causing us to have a bad
start. Each day should be a day of thanksgiving to the Lord for what he has done and what he is going to do. Thanksgiving
is important to expanding your capacity to receive from God. It should not be assigned to just Thanksgiving Day. Thankful
people usually receive more than selfish people because their hearts are open and grateful for what has been provided to them.
God wants you to praise Him continually with the fruit of your lips open your mouth and say, “Thank You, Lord.”
Some people are to proud and believe that they themselves should be the one getting the thanks. But no man can get the credit
or the glory that is due to Jesus Christ only. The Bible tells us not to glory in ourselves but rather glorify our father
which is in heaven. Many today are unthankful because they are trying to compete with what others may have. Unthankfulness
is not of God. Give thanks for what you have instead of complaining about what you don’t have. You must cultivate a
lifestyle of thanksgiving. Cultivation is not automatic or only done when at church. It is purposely doing something every
day to thank him. Offer to him the sacrifice of thanksgiving that is due to his holy name today. Thanksgiving is a key to
experiencing fullness. Be like David and believe the Lord is your shepherd and you will not want for nothing. Why? Because
you know God is going to provide for you in the good times and in the bad times. He is able to do anything but fail but you
must have faith. It is good to give God thanks (Psalm 92:1). I am reminded of a song entitled "Grateful" by Harvey Watkins
Jr. in which he believed God and stayed grateful in spite of circumstances that surrounded him. It is good to give him thanks
because if you do not thank him you are not in the will of God. I encourage you to stay in his will by thanking the Lord for
everything he has done and will do. I feel we need to continue and conclude our study on having a spirit of Thanksgiving next
Monday. Join me for a new Bible Corner Friday! God Bless and I dare you right now to give him thanks from the depths of your
soul today! Minister Chris King
"It's A Pleasure To Please God"
Reading:Hebrews 11:5-6 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, and was not found, because God had taken
him,for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for
he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. This is a brand new
week for many and this gives plenty of opportunity to please God. Now many people today don't even care about God or others
but we as Christians have a goal that we must fulfill. That is goal is pleasing God in everything we do in our daily lives.
Enoch was truly a man who walked with God on a daily basis. His walk with God was so great that God decided to take him from
earth without even seeing death. Powerful! His testimony could be seen in his daily life because he pleased God. Christians
today should desire to have such a close walk with God that nothing can separate them. But many people decide to try to please
man and themselves rather than pleasing God. The apostle Peter said that he would rather obey and please God than man. Man
can lead you in the wrong direction which leads to destruction but only God can guide you right. Don't be a "people pleaser"
but chase after him and please him in every way possible. Our words alone just don't do it but our actions as well. Remember,
it takes faith to please God and with faith it is impossible. We must truly believe he can do it only if we have faith. God
has given each man the measure of faith to do mighty things in and through us. I dare you this week to please God like never
before. I beg you please, to please him and you will see great rewards. And when you look back over your life you can say
that my testimony is that I pleased God! Have blessed start to your week in Jesus name! Stay tuned for more of God's word

"Running For Your Life" Reading: Jeremiah
5:1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye
can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it. In today's times, we
must get in a hurry and run and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. The weeping prophet Jeremiah instructed by the Lord,
ran into the city to find anyone who was living honestly before the Lord. Many people today believe there is no one living
right according to God's word and standards. But this is completely untrue. We, as Christians are to set the example by living
honestly before the Lord in every area of our life. People are looking for truth and truth is found in the word of God. Whatever
they are looking for, they no longer have to search anymore because Jesus Christ is the answer. We must continuously stay
before the Lord in prayer for his direction in our lives. Some say I am tired of running but what has stopped you from running
well? Don't let various things hinder you but press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. I encourage you today
not to slow down but to speed up for God. We must run this race with patience because we win in the end. Continue to run for
God and tell others that there is life in Jesus Christ! Minister Chris King
"Watch Your Mouth" by Evangelist
Chris King "Watch Your Mouth" Reading: Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it
shall eat the fruit thereof." This scripture itself speaks volumes of words alone. In today's society, many people are ignorant
to the fact that words have power. In school, the famous song "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt
me" isn't true. Because words spoken out of our mouths have so much power that they could destroy or build us up. Earlier
in this same chapter, it tells us that a man's mouth is like deep waters and widsom is a wellsping of life to us. We are to
listen before we speak because we can dig our own grave if we don't. We need the Holy Spirit to tame our toungues because
they are full of deadly poison. Your mouth may be a small part, but it can do great damage. I am encouraging you today to
live out this scripture everyday of your life, "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know
how you ought to answer each one." Evangelist Chris King, Minister Tuscaloosa, AL
