About Evangelist Chris King

Evangelist Chris King was born May 7, 1984 and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and began preaching at age nine. He assumed his first pastorate at age eleven and today, Evangelist King serves as an Associate Evangelist of the Temple of Christ Church, a rapidly growing congregation with more than 50-100 people in weekly attendance. Headquartered in the East Tuscaloosa and at TROY University in Troy, AL. Chris King Ministries spreads the gospel. Many have said that Evangelist King, "Preaches the TRUTH with the FIRE of the Word!" He is one of the nation's most recognized youth ministers and anointed evangelist's today. Evangelist King is the founder and president of Chris King Ministries, Greater Expectations Ministries and the Truth Broadcast Media Ministries that encompass weekly national internet and radio broadcasts and ministry crusades. Currently more than 10 million homes have access to "The Truth Broadcast" which broadcasts throughout North America, Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East through the internet. In addition, nearly 10,000 people have been ministered to via services & crusades within the past 15 years.Evangelist King is also a known gospel radio personality at WTSK 790AM & 92.9 WTUG-FM in Tuscaloosa,AL. Evangelist King also hosts an annual youth & revival conferences that draws in excess hundreds of people to Tuscaloosa each year. A central focus for Evangelist King's work throughout North America as well as internationally revolves around the unique challenges and needs of today's youth. He provides a powerful exhortation to young people in saying, "Time and again we tell our young people what they cannot do. 'You can't do this and you can't do that.' They can find trustworthy friendships and relationships. They can remove themselves from the pain and disappointment of their past. They can be free from drugs. They can be hopeful for their future and as the Church we have the answer for them in the person of Jesus Christ." And he also encourages them to make Jesus # 1 in their lives. Throughout North America and around the world, Evangelist King and his team are targeting strategic metropolitan centers. King has been through many experiences that he encourages other Christians and youth not to go through as uses those experiences to coney God's message of hope.

Evangelist King passionately believes that the Word of God is a key to reaching a generation and to unifying communities, cities, and nations. Minister Chris King also holds a campus bible study at Troy University on Wednesdays in conjuction with Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc.
EVANGELIST KING BEHIND THE SCENES
Evangelist King recently celebrated 15 years of ministry unto the Lord. He was called and sent on September 29,1993. He has held membership at Daystar Family Church( formly Daystar Assembly of God), Disciples for Christ Church and now is a member of Temple of Christ Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. King is known as one of the most nationally recongnized and famed youth ministers today in the United States.King holds many national, state, and local awards such as the National Presidential Silver Education Award 1996 by President Bill Clinton, other awards from the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education, Skills USA and ASPA, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Lambda Pi Eta, NAACP, NABJ, CHSE,Balfour and WCHS-TV and Trojan Vision News. Minister King also was highlighted in The Tuscaloosa News, recognized by Tuscaloosa City School System and the city of Tuscaloosa, state of Alabama, and the southeast. Chris graduated from Central High School East in May 2003 and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism/Marketing and Advertising from Troy University in 2007. King is now the Television Productions Teacher at the Tuscaloosa Center for Technology for the Tuscaloosa City Schools. King now attends Troy University where he is pursuing a Masters of Public Administration degree. He is a member and the Assistant Southeast Regional Director of Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity Inc. He is married to the beautiful former Selletta Jackson and is the father of one son. And he also works for Citadel Broadcasting Inc. in Tuscaloosa. In his spare time, Evangelist King travels, excercise, and spends time with friends and family.
